Spring Groundwater Levels Summary

Spring Groundwater Levels Summary

May 11, 2022

We regularly measure water levels in a district-wide network of wells to track groundwater availability.  The levels in wells measured this spring, on the average, were slightly lower when compared to the spring of 2021 (see table).  The measurements were completed prior to spring rains in late April and May.  The table shows average well measurement fluctuations within each of the district’s groundwater reservoirs.  Five of the six district groundwater reservoirs experienced declines.  Overall, the average water level was down, 1.48 feet.  A groundwater reservoir map is available HERE.
