LPSNRD Performance Evaluation of the General Manager

How do you rate the ability of the Manager to COMMUNICATE?

Oral and written communication is clear, accurate and timely. Staff, Board Members and other partners receive timely and accurate information.

2. ABILITY TO RELATE


How do you rate the ability of the Manager to RELATE?

This is the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with other local, state, and federal agencies and private organizations. This includes providing administrative and technical support to all District Subcommittees and to the Board.

3. ABILITY TO SET GOALS AND OBJECTIVES


How do you rate the ability of the Manager to SET OBJECTIVES?

This is the ability to determine immediate, intermediate, and long-range targets that the District must attain to accomplish agreed upon priorities within time schedules and the budget.

4. STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT


How do you rate the ability of the Manager to DEVELOP STRATEGIES?

This is the ability to develop and establish a detailed course of action that will accomplish goals and objectives with a minimum of expense, risk, time, manpower, and the maximum output, service and morale.

5. PROBLEM SOLVING


How do you rate the ability of the Manager to SOLVE PROBLEMS?

This is the ability to identify problems, gather information and develop a course of action that solves the problem in a satisfactory manner.

6. KNOWLEDGE


How do you rate the ability of the Manager in terms of his KNOWLEDGE?

Knowledge of the Natural Resource District, the problems challenging the NRD, and related resource issues? The knowledge is defined in terms of the NRD's functions, services, procedures, and systems.

How do you rate the ability of the Manager to MAKE CREATIVE CONTRIBUTIONS?

This is the ability to offer new, different, alternate approaches, methods, systems, policies, etc. that could help the NRD achieve objectives more efficiently.

How do you rate the ability of the Manager to MAINTAIN BUDGETS?

This is the ability to accomplish assigned objectives while working within the budget established and approved by the Board of Directors and to prepare adequate documents and presentations during the budget preparation process.
