Budget

The LPSNRD fiscal year begins on July 1st and ends on June 30th. Finalizing a budget for a fiscal year is a several-month process involving LPSNRD staff, Board of Directors and the public. The LPSNRD’s Fiscal Year 2019 Budget requires $9.6 million in property taxes. The $30 million balanced total of revenue and expenditures is spread over a wide-ranging spectrum of activities to preserve and protect natural resources in the District.

The Fiscal Year 2020 Budget is being developed now and final consideration by the Board of Directors is expected in August.  The first draft of the budget is available here, and the LPSNRD Board and staff are continuing to develop a balanced budget of revenue and expenditures.  Public input is welcomed:

• Wednesday, June 19, 6:00 PM – Budget Public Input Session and Board of Directors Meeting
• Wednesday, July 24, 7:00 PM – Board of Directors Meeting and tentative budget approval
• Thursday, August 15, 7:00 PM – Public Hearings on Budget and certain property tax changes
• Wednesday, August 21, 7:00 PM – Board of Directors Meeting and budget approval
