The Lied Platte River Bridge, near South Bend, has completely re-opened, after the popular trail bridge was damaged in 2019 during historic Platte River flooding.  Thanks to all of the trail users who waited so patiently.

The Rosa Parks Way Trail Project, near First and "J" streets, is on schedule for completion in mid-November.  The project will extend the Salt Creek Levee Trail along Salt Creek by passing under BNSF Railroad tracks at the levee and eliminating an existing underpass to the east.

Work continues to replace a trail bridge along the Homestead Trail near Hickman, between Martell Road and South 25th Street.  The bridge replacement is expected to be completed in the spring of 2022.

Bids are being sought from contractors to repair erosion and move the Oak Creek Trail, slightly, one mile west of Valparaiso.  Completion is expected in spring 2022.
