The Lower Platte South Natural Resources District Board of Directors is working to develop its Fiscal Year 2022 Budget.  A draft of the tentative budget, approved on July 21st by the LPSNRD Board of Directors is available here for public review.  The budget, upon final approval, would require no increase in property taxes.  The $10,156,870 property tax requirement in the FY 2021 Budget would remain unchanged.  An anticipated increase in district property values is expected to result in a tax levy decrease of approximately 5% and the overall budget would increase only less than 1%.

The LPSNRD Board will give the budget final consideration during its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, August 26th. Before then, the annual Budget Public Hearing is set for Wednesday, August 18th.  Both August meetings will begin at 7:00 PM at the LPSNRD office, 3125 Portia Street, in Lincoln, and no virtual link will be provided.  Public input is invited at both in-person meetings.
