Animal Waste Control Facility

Purpose:

To assist landowners in installing measures to control the runoff of animal waste from areas (i.e. feedlots) into drainageways and water bodies.

How to Apply:

1. The landowner requests the NRCS to design the necessary measures.
2. The landowner submits the design, estimated cost, aerial photo of the proposed site, and the application for assistance form on the opposite page of this brochure.
3. The LPSNRD reviews the landowner’s application.

Cost-Share Rate:

Cost-share shall be paid at the percent determined by the Farm Services Agency (FSA) for that component multiplied by the county average cost, or 75% of the actual cost, whichever is less. Cost-share assistance will be paid on earth fill, outlet tube, and grass seed.
