We need to minimize erosion and runoff and maintain high water quality. A guiding tenet for scarce resources should be what do we have and how do we use them wisely rather than what do we need and where are we going to get them. As we use resources, we must do so that we pass on those resources in good stead to our children and grand children." |

We have an inherent responsibility to future generations to excel in these areas. At the same time, we must ensure financial prudence to the District taxpayers. We can't "be all things to all people", rather we need to prioritize programs and provide adequate funding for same." |
