Rain Garden |
If you live in the Lower Platte South NRD and are interested in doing your part to improve surface water quality, this program is for you. |
The District has created a dedicated cost-share program to assist landowners with the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMPs) aimed at improving the quality of surface waters within the District.
Installing a raingarden, routing your parking lot runoff to a bioretention garden, considering the viability of porus pavement areas, or establishing vegetated swales to intercept stormwater may all be eligible for this program. For selected projects, the District may provide funding up to 50% of total project costs up to a maximum of $10,000.
Applications are accepted year-round. Contact NRD Stormwater Specialist J.B. Dixon.
