Filter Strip
Filter Strip
Creating bands of vegetation adjacent to cropland will help protect the quality of water downstream. Vegetation will filter out pollutants and sediment before field runoff reaches a river, creek, stream, lake or wetland.

Landowners should begin by consulting their NRCS office about possible buffer strip and filter strip locations, then submit the above application.
