"My highest priority is to sustain the quantity and quality of the District’s water supplies. To achieve this goal in the most cost-effective manner, the board’s decisions must be based on sound science and transparent decision-making processes that get ideas from, and collaborate with, the citizens of the district. Because most of the water used by the City of Lincoln is imported from outside our district, we must also collaborate closely with other NRDs.  Maintaining healthy ecosystems that increase groundwater recharge, reduce runoff and pollution, and provide wildlife habitat and recreational opportunities, is often the best and least-cost management option."
