Emergency Action Plans

In the event of an emergency, such as a flood or earthquake, the NRD is responsible for observing conditions at any high-hazard dams that may be affected by the event. A trained observer will continually assess the level of the emergency and notify officials as the need arises. Each of these dams has its own specific emergency action plan to follow, so the proper authorities are notified and the proper actions taken. As part of our preparedness, the secured plans are made available here for use by NRD staff if necessary.
